Note | Ephraim and his sister Phoebe were both baptised on the same day in 1711 at the parish church of St Andrew's in Langford, Bedfordshire, England. They were probably twins, although this has not been proven. Their parents were John and Judith ROWNEY of Langford. Their mother died just a year after they were baptised, but it is not known whether they were still alive at that time. No trace of either Ephraim or Phoebe has been found in later records. They may have died in infancy, or perhaps they might have been adopted or fostered and changed their names. It is also possible that they have simply not yet been located in the records. |
