Note | NOTE: The OSBORNE family were a very well connected family of land owners in the region of Northill, Bedfordshire, in the 1600's. Edward OSBORN was the traditional name for the head of the family. It may be worth checking whether Anne's husband could have been connected to this family. "In 1610 he (Richard BROWNE) sold the manor to Edward OSBORNE of the Inner Temple, second son of Sir Edward OSBORNE, who held it until his death in 1625, and was succeeded by his son, another Edward, also of the Inner Temple, who in 1651 suffered a recovery. He was buried at Northill in 1679, leaving his property, which in his will was no longer called Northill Manor, to his grand-niece Elizabeth OSBORNE. During the next century the OSBORNE estate must have become quite dispersed, and no reference is found to it when the parish was inclosed in 1780, with the interesting exception that College Farm was in the possession of John HARVEY of Ickwell Bury."
