Note	Thomas was believed to have been born around 1754, but the circumstances of his mother's relationship with George ROWNEY have led me to suspect that he was probably born a little later, so I have given a date of around 1755. His place of birth is not known, but he was probably born at Gamlingay where his family was living at that time. [see the biography of his presumed half-brother William ROWNEY, above, for a highly speculative theory on the origins of Thomas]. Thomas died in 1777 when he would have been around 22 (or 23 as recorded) years old. His place of death is not known.
