Note

Elizabeth's association with this family is speculative based on her age and proximity in the 1841 census.

In the 1841 census, Elizabeth (aged 16) was employed as a servant by the family of Thomas PAINTER (aged 50+) at the Stone Hill Farm at Charlton, just a mile or so from Escourt in Wiltshire. The PAINTER household consisted of Thomas PAINTER himself, who was a famer, his wife Hannah (aged 50+), and their three unmarried children; John (aged 25+), Joseph (aged 20+), and Elizabeth (aged 20+).
