Note | Richard was married to his sister Dianna's step-daughter, Mary UNDERDOWN, in 1881 at Beltana (SA) in the North Flinders Ranges, in the remote outback of South Australia. They were married at the home of a Mrs. FORD. Richard was 24 years old at that time and Mary was aged 21. Richard was living at Waukaringa (SA) at the time of his death in 1894. His death registration indicates that he died in a hospital at Kooringa Burra (SA). He was just 37 years old when he died. Mary remarried after Richard's death, to a man named Charles WATSON. Her son John's next of kin was named as C. WATSON (mother) when he fought in the army during the Great War. They lived at Tatiara (SA), near Bordertown (SA). |
