| Note | Rod was born at Hopetoun (Vic) in 1911 and later lived around Patchewollock (Vic). It does not appear that Rod ever married, but he had a number of children. His first child, Trevor, was born in 1942. Trevor's mother was Elsie PETERS and Trevor seems to have used his mother's surname. Rod was about 31 years old when Trevor was born. Elsie is believed to have had three children from her previous relationship to a man named PETERS. A few years later, in 1951, Rod's second child, Gary, was born. Gary's mother was Rita PETERS, who was Elsie's daughter. Gary also used his mother's surname, as did subsequent children, who were born to Rod and Rita over the following years. Their second child, Alan, was born in 1952, then came Gavin, in 1954, and finally their only daughter, Kate, was born in 1956. Rod died in Patchewollock in 1980 at the age of 69. He was buried in the cemetery at Hopetoun. In 2006, Rita was living in Patchewollock. |
