| Note | Jessie was born at Hopetoun West (Vic) in 1900. In 1927, at the age of 27, she was married to Robert ROBERTS in Tempy (Vic). Robert was 43 years old at that time. Robert and Jessie appear to have been living around Turriff West (Vic) and Tempy for a few years, by that time. Their sons Allan and Clarence appear to have been born in that area. By 1929, when Heather was born, however, they seem to have resettled around Hopetoun. Their son Don was also born there in 1930, as were most of their subsequent children. In 1932, a set of twins were sadly stillborn. Their daughter Joan was born in 1933, Les followed in 1936, Max in 1937, and Coral in 1939. Their last child, Graeme, was born at Warracknabeal (Vic) in 1943. Robert died in 1950 at Hopetoun at the age of 65. He was buried at Hopetoun Cemetery. Jessie lived for many years after Robert's death. She died at Hopetoun in 1991, at the age of 91. She was also buried in Hopetoun. |
