Thomas' surname is variously given as YARRELL, YERRALL, YERRILL, YARRALL, etc. Other variations should be considered.

Thomas may have originated from the village of Haynes, located a few miles from Wilstead, in Bedfordshire, but this has not been proven.

It is suspected that Thomas may have remarried after Edith died at a young age. A marriage of a Thomas YARRELL (aged 45) in St Paul, in Bedfordshire, on 16 Dec 1849 [M062021], seems a strong possibility. His bride at that time was Mary Ann Hull KIDD (aged 26).
