Note

William was born in the June quarter of 1848 in the Bedford registration district, in Bedfordshire, England. His parents are believed to have been living around the village of Thurleigh at that time.

William died at sea aboard the ship "Ascendant" on 24 Aug 1849. His family was undertaking a voyage to South Australia. He was just 1 year old when he died. His death was recorded on the passenger manifest of the ship, and in the S.A. Government Gazette of 1866.
