Note	Ely married Alma CLARKE in 1884 at the home of Mr. EARLEY of Goodwood (SA). He was 20 years old at that time and Alma was around 19 years of age. Alma died in the hospital in Adelaide (SA) in 1895. She was 30 years old. They were living at Norwood (SA) at the time of her death. Ely and Alma do not appear to have had any children. Ely remarried in 1904, to Ethel WEBBER. They were married at the home of Ethel's father, William WEBBER, in Mount Gambier (SA). Ely was 40 years old at that time and Ethel was around 30 years of age. Ely and Ethel seem to have settled in Norwood. They had three children who were all born there; Dulcie in 1907, Clive in 1910, and Gwendolyn in 1915. Ely died in 1941 at the age of 76. He was buried in the cemetery at Payneham (SA). Ethel died in 1953 at the age of 79.
