Note | Arthur married Norah RUSHBROOK in 1897 in the Bedford registration district. They appear to have settled in the town of Harrold, Bedfordshire, soon afterwards. They had two known children, Stanley born in 1897 and Violet born in 1900. There was also a child, Norah Agnes SWANNELL who was born and died in 1898 in the Bedford registration district. She may have been a daughter of Arthur and Norah. In the 1901 census, Arthur (aged 26) and Norah (aged 24) were living on Dove Lane in the town of Harrold. Arthur was employed as a shoemaker (rivetter) and was working from their home. They had two children at that time; Stanley (aged 3) and Violet (aged 9 months). |
