In the 1881 census, Priscilla (aged 32) and Richard (aged 41) were living on Silver Street, in the village of Stevington, in Bedfordshire. Richard was employed as an agricultural labourer and Priscilla was a lace maker. They had one son, Charles (aged 8), who was attending school.
