Note | Ann's marriage to John COOK is recorded in several entries of the IGI as taking place at Goldington, in Bedfordshire, on the date given (A456783). This is very interesting in light of other ROWNEY family links with Goldington around that time. The batch record in the IGI places Ann and John's marriage in Ann's parish of Potton, in Bedfordshire. There was a John COOK named as a voter in the Bedfordshire Pollbook of 1784. He was the owner of a house in Goldington. This could have been John or possibly his father. There was also a John COOK with a house and land in the nearby village of Wilden, but it is not known if this was the same person. Ann seems to have died in childbirth in 1790 and was buried in the cemetery at Goldington. Her unnamed baby also died and was buried with her. Ann was around 24 years old when she died. |
