Note

William was born around 1869 in the village of Riseley, in Bedfordshire, England. He appears to have been the only child of Charles and Sarah WYANT.

In the 1881 census, William (aged 12) was living with his parents at their home on Gold Street, in Riseley. He was attending school at that time.

In the 1891 census, William (aged 22) was unmarried and living with his parents in Riseley. He was working as a blacksmith.

William was married to Emily BARKER in the September quarter of 1893 in the Bedford registration district, which included the village of Riseley. William would have been around 24 years of age at that time. Emily was a 21 year old woman who had also been born around Riseley.

In 1899 their only known child, Elsie, was born at Riseley. They possibly had other children who have not yet been identified.

In the 1901 census, William (aged 30) and Emily (aged 30) were living at Riseley. William was making his living as a blacksmith. Their baby daughter Elsie (aged 1) was also living with them, and appears to have been their only child at that time.

The fates of William and Emily have not yet been determined.
