Note	In the 1881 census, Samuel (aged 45) and Emma (aged 50) were living on Bedford Road, in Cardington, Bedfordshire. Samuel was employed as a fitter in an iron foundry. Their children who were present were; William (aged 18) who was an agricultural labourer, and Ada (aged 14) and Arthur (aged 9) who were both attending school. In the 1891 census, Samuel (aged 56) and Emma (aged 60) were living at Fenlake, in Eastcotts, near Cardington. Samuel was employed as a labourer.
