Note | In the 1881 census, Mary Ann (aged 13) seems to have been working as a domestic servant. She was employed in the household of the grocer's master, Robert WILKINSON (aged 74) and his wife Nancy (aged 56). They appear to have been managing a grocery store at 26 Silver Street, in the parish of Bedford St Paul, in the city of Bedford, in Bedfordshire, England. Mary Ann gave her place of birth as Bedford at that time. There were two other grocery assistants emplyed in the household. In 1887, Mary Ann and Thomas GOFF were married in the Holy Trinity Church in Bedford. |
